Weisz János HA3NS

    (1955-2000)

He started his radioamateur activity in 1968 and got his licence in 1972. He got involved with almost all kind of HAM activities like DX hunting, contesting, QRQ, high speed telegraphy and even so called „fox hunting” (ARDF).

From 1977 until his death he was the leader of HA3KNA (one of the most prosperous radioclubs in Hungary).

Until his leadership several international achievement had been made by club members and him itself.

He got bronze medal in ARDF World Championship, silver and bronze medals in HST Eu Championship and reached several places in HF contests with his radioclub HA3KNA. He was an active HF DX-er collected almost all DXCC. As a CW enthusiast became member of RCC, HSC, VHSC, SHSC, EHSC and he was one of the founders of Hungarian CW Group (HACWG). His special hobby was to chase HSC members and chatting with old timer op’s.

He devoted his life to work for community for his beloved Radioclub. His ability to contact others, got him a lot of friends world wide.
